Provident Bank, a multi-billion dollar NJ bank with branches in NJ and eastern PA, has an opportunity for an experienced BSA/AML professional for a Quality Control Specialist position based in our Iselin, NJ administrative office. Candidates must have a minimum of seven years od BSA/AML or audit experience and be throughly versed on all related BSA, AML, USA Patriot Act, KYC and OFAC regulations. ACAMS certification and experience with Verafin preferred.We offer a competitive compensation package that includes medical/dental/life insurances, 401(k) with match, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Student Loan Paydown program, tution plans, generous paid time off and more!POSITION SUMMARYThe incumbent ensures the duties of this position are carried out in accordance with Corporate Policy and ensures that the Bank conforms to all regulatory requirements and guidelines relating to the Bank Secrecy (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, the USA PATRIOT Act, Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) regulations, and the Bank's policies and procedures (BSA Program).MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, implement and maintain a robust Quality Assurance program, including a sampling methodology, for testing elements of the AML program, including but not limited to alerts, CTRs, OFAC, new accounts, CDD and EDD reviews, SARs filed and cases closed, management reports and transactional reports.%25Regularly assess elements of BSA/AML program against internal procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure quality, completeness, and accuracy of various functions to ensure effectiveness of program.%25Issue reports to Executive Risk Committee, Risk Management, Audit and BSA Officer which include the results of the reviews and engage with management to ensure remediation of issues is promptly and thoroughly resolved.%25Analyze trends in QA reporting, develop remediation strategies and work with BSA/AML Management to develop training for employees to enhance performance, develop efficiencies and increase the effectiveness of the BSA/AML program.%25SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone.SKILLS AND TRAININGIn-depth knowledge of the BSA, AML, USA Patriot Act, KYC and OFAC regulations.Knowledgeable of bank and branch operations.Knowledgeable of databases and websites used in the investigations of suspicious activity, including money laundering and t errorist financing.Ability to remain composed and make appropriate decisions under stressful conditions, which may involve dealingwith a range of responsibilities and defined timetables.Ability to analyze business situations, identify problems or concerns, determine applicable scenarios and choose the appropriate solution to the problem.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives, managers, legal staff, employees, regulators and outside auditors.Ability to train and supervise personnel.Ability to prioritize multiple projects and complete them on time.Good personal computer skills and proficient in using software commonly employed in an office environment.Excellent written and oral communication skills.EDUCATIONFour-year Bachelor’s degree required.ACAMs certification preferredWORK EXPERIENCE7+ years of AML/BSA Compliance or Audit experience required.Experience with Verafin electronic monitoring system preferredLICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATESLicenses and Certifications Expiration DateACAMs preferredWORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed in a normal office environment.
