A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Release Train Engineer to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This position will work with an Agile Program Management Office to coordinate all ART (Agile Release Train) ceremonies and communicate across the enterprise to ensure Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness. Qualified candidates will provide leadership and direction to support the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Essential Job Functions:
  • Determine and understand the development and deployment value stream ensuring a flow of value using metrics and information radiators.
  • Refine the software development processes, contributing cross-functional technical and product expertise, assessing and managing risks, anticipating and resolving bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating and making tradeoffs, and balancing business needs with technical constraints.
  • Work with the Agile Program Management Office to coordinate all ART/Agile Release Train ceremonies annually and communicate to the ART.
  • Ensure Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness by working with the Product Management, Business Owners and others, focusing on priorities from the program backlog.
  • Facilitate the PI planning event that can be in-person, virtual or hybrid.
  • Publish and monitor Program PI Objectives ensuring visibility and transparency to the ART and stakeholders.
  • Determine and develop ART metrics and assist in explaining the information to the ART and stakeholders; facilitate relentless improvement activities based on metrics.
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings and system demonstrations.
  • Coach leaders, teams and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
  • Serve as a member of the Lean-Agile Center of Excellence, collaborating on best practices and ensuring standardized training and approaches across multiple ARTs.
  • Assist in managing risks and dependencies, tracking and escalating issues and impediments as required.
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
  • Launch, grow and nurture Communities of Practice within and across ARTs.
  • Continue to move forward in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge; do not suffer from "analysis paralysis".
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with your team and other groups; utilize active listening skills.

Requirements:
  • Five (5) to fifteen (15) years of related experience that includes experience with SAFe, Agile Release Train (ART) and Value Streams.
  • Project Management experience in distributed and service-oriented architecture preferred.
  • Experience facilitating an Agile Release Train the rough at least one entire Program Increment Cycle.
  • Certified Release Train Engineer for SAFe versions 4, 4.5, 4.6 or 5.0 desired.
  • Experience understanding the core business values and initiatives and translating those into forward looking solutions.

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of math, statistics, and computer science and twenty five (25) years of related work experience or
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Math, or another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of math, statistics, and computer science and twenty (20) years’ related work experience or
  • PhD or Doctoral in a related field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of math, statistics, and computer science and twelve (12) years’ related work experience.
