Web Designer / Content Coordinator (Middlesex, NJ)

Looking to get your design career off to a good start. Why not work for a small local business assisting in the development process of our new WordPress website. We are seeking an entry-level web designer interested in working with our Web Developer to implement our new website. In this role, you will work with our agency to build the new SciMac website, assist in the management of the development process including coordinating our product database, photographing products, editing images and writing product copy while continuing to hone your technical skills.

We are a small Manufacturing facility in Middlesex, NJ. Our products are made of Teflon and other high-performance plastics. We service the Chemical and Pharmaceutical research and development fields and Scientific Glassware manufactures. Manufacturing is considered an essential business; we are open and following all Covid-19 protocols in the shop and office. Social distancing is possible in our facility.

This position requires critical thinking, multitasking, a detail-oriented nature, and the ability to work within the deadlines presented as the project moves forward.

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Computer Science

 Or Digital design or web content management work experience

 Interest in WordPress development

 Understanding of web best practices, responsive design, and current techniques

 Self-motivated, critical thinker, thrives in a small team environment

 Self-directed learner who picks up new skills quickly

Duties will include acting as the key point of contact with the web developer, product data control and placement, obtain feedback for implementation, addition of new products on the website and provide quality control. Above all, we are looking for a person with the right attitude: a team player, enthusiasm for technology and drive to get the Job Done.
