Our client, a multi-national consumer goods distributor, is looking to add a Buyer to their team near Scotch Plains, NJ.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $30-$40/hr
Position Overview: The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing the necessary equipment and materials to make the company's operations possible for the given department. Prior experience in indirect purchasing a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities of the Buyer:
Purchase supplies and equipment as needed
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and find new vendors when necessary
Work closely with Division Management Team to ensure that all needs are met
Be flexible and able to change purchasing plans if issues arise or needs change
Qualifications for the Buyer:
At least 3 years' experience in purchasing (indirect purchasing a plus!)
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables)
BS in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, or a related field
Education Requirements:
Degree required
