We're looking for someone who likes a good challenge and loves building new value propositions.The Brand Manager, Innovation (Beverage & Baby) will play a critical role in creating, launching and scaling a robust pipeline of innovation to drive profitable growth across the $0.8B Beverage and Baby portfolio with scope across Horizon 2 innovation.Key project areas include:

F'21-'22 Product Innovation: Lead commercial execution of 1-2 large ($15+ MM retail sales) innovation platforms to protect Category leadership in our Beverage and Baby Categories.

3-5 year Innovation Pipeline: Assist in shaping the development of 1-2 upstream opportunity areas across Beverage and Baby to protect and grow Category leadership while contributing to margin expansion and building a pipeline of compelling new product platforms.

Primary responsibilities:Opportunity Identification (20% of time)

Partner with Consumers Insights team to identify areas of unmet need via diverse research sources (demand landscapes, qualitative and quantitative consumer research, competitive marketplace performance)

Assess and prioritize opportunities via opportunity sizing and gross margin; consumer validation; R&D validation of the technical pathways; operations validation of manufacturing

Proposition Translation and Alignment (40% of time)

Translate opportunity spaces into commercially viable product or service concepts via insight refinement, positioning, concept development and testing, guardrail definition

Partner with Brand Marketing and Sales teams to ensure alignment with business strategy and objectives and advise on communications support plan (partnerships, activation) and customer selling

Drive stakeholder direction and alignment via development of project charters, strategic briefs, including a compelling vision for development across multi-year omni-channel pipeline

Lead Category inputs for PMR process to drive business strategies on new items and ensure pipeline sufficiency and appropriate resource allocation

Product Commercialization (40% of time)

Lead broad, diverse teams of cross-functional partners from product development through launch, ensuring proper planning prioritization and execution across: forecasting and P&L management, channel planning, manufacturing, and early in-market performance tracking to optimize support

Execute strategy across the marketing mix, including product and packaging design, distribution, pricing, shelving and promotion to drive scale

Partner with International teams to drive global synergies as appropriate

Requirements:

MBA Required

Minimum 4 - 8 years of product/brand marketing experience.

Food/beverage experience preferred. Must include innovation experience.

Health / well-being experience a plus. Does not need to be in food

People leadership experience a plus

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to lead, motivate and collaborate across a cross-functional team of stakeholders

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within tight time-frames and deadlines in a dynamic working environment

Intellectual curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, sense of humor, stamina, proactive approach and work ethic appropriate for a fast-paced, growth-oriented team
