Based in Bergen County, New Jersey, this entry-level Accountant job is a short-term temporary opportunity. The Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager, and be responsible for data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Perform data entry
Put together monthly journal entries
Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Analyzing and adjusting account discrepancies
Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Employer requires 1 year of accounting experience
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Outstanding data entry skills
