What you’ll be doing Verizon’s Value-Based Marketing (VBM) consumer organization is responsible for almost $60B in annual revenues for Verizon’s home and mobile services. The broader team develops marketing strategies to maintain and grow that revenue stream and enable the best possible customer marketing experiences. The Enablers group within VBM drives the development of marketing technology solutions and supports various operational functions to bring innovation and efficiency into the organization. We are seeking a Manager to position the Consumer Marketing organization for future data needs, and to oversee the impact of Privacy Regulations on Marketing.Responsibilities include the following:

Serve as the overall “data enabler” for the VBM team, evaluating the existing data landscape in Marketing and helping determine future needs.

Where needed and appropriate, drive design, development, and implementation of new data collection- or data permission-related initiatives.

Serve as a subject matter expert with respect to data privacy for the Marketing organization, and support Verizon in preparing for regulations such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other upcoming legislation.

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Risk Management & Compliance, Information Technology, Privacy, Legal, Customer Experience and Marketing partners.

Act as a single point of contact for Privacy Regulation needs, including evaluating business impact, and working with Marketing stakeholders to identify and execute changes to processes and current ways of working.

Work with user experience, legal, privacy, IT, and customer experience to help design and asses user flows, evaluate creative and content positioning, and make decisions that serve to balance customer, regulatory, and business needs

Aggregate and communicate timely and accurate information regarding issues and progress to impacted stakeholders, including Executives.

What we’re looking for The successful candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, a problem solver, and able to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities. This demanding and fast-paced role requires coordination and communication across multiple stakeholders in the shaping and deployment of strategic programs.You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain confidential and complex issues, and make recommendations to leadership.

Experience with or aptitude for learning the foundations of customer data sets, modeling, analytics, data preferences, and other business- and marketing-oriented uses of customer data.

Project management experience with ability to handle multiple high priority projects and stakeholders expectations concurrently.

Experience with Compliance, Data Management and Marketing.

Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Even better if you have:

Master’s degree.

Experience with data privacy regulations.

Relevant Industry experience.

Strong knowledge of Verizon’s products and services.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work proactively, independently and efficiently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
