Job Description

We are currently recruiting for several fixed term contract opportunities that existing within our Hot Mills operations team. Working across a variety of shift work patterns, Team Members undertake important process work that requires an eye for detail and plays an integral part in producing BlueScope steel for our customers.

Hot Mills is comprised of the Hot Strip Mill, Hot Coil Processing and Despatch and Plate Mill departments, all key assets that provide a range of hot rolled coil and plate product into the domestic and export markets.

Our Hot Coil Processing & Despatch (HCPD) department despatches hot rolled product while further processing on the skin pass mill, new Coil Plate and Embar lines and Coil slitting line.

In our Plate Mill department, the plate mill rolls and processes hot slabs to make a wide range of plate product for diverse markets such as shipping, mining and building industries.

Who are we looking for?We are on the lookout for individuals who are dedicated team players, put safety first and have a willingness to learn.You will be an excellent communicator, will actively follow instructions and think intuitively to get a result.

Your attention to detail will be paramount. We are looking for individuals who have a keen eye for detail, who can review our products and ensure only the finest quality is being sent to our customers.

What are the benefits?Base annual starting salary of $60,700 plus superannuation and shift penalties where applicable. Various shift patterns of day work, afternoon and/or night shifts across 5 and 7day roster patterns.
