Darbster Foundation is looking to hire 1-2 kennel technicians for our Darbster Kitty location, located in Manchester, NH. If you are interested in FT work extra shifts can be available in our dog facility.
Duties include:
Cleans and organize entire shelter including cleaning and disinfecting shelter kennels and floors, organizing shelter equipment, and doing laundry.
Prepare food and feed cats according to schedules and feeding instructions. Always provide clean drinking water to each cat.
Performs basic animal grooming duties, such as washing, brushing, and trimming nails.
Administering medications as indicated by on staff veterinarian.
Respond to questions and inquiries on the phone and in person from customers regarding the care of the cats. Provide assistance to customers visiting the shelter for adoption. Escort customers through the animal shelter and answers questions.
Occasionally running errands for the facility such as vet visits and supply runs.
Requirements:
Handling experience preferred, but will train the right individual
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, outgoing, reliable and honest
Client service experience
Able to meet the demands of a physically and mentally challenging job
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time as needed
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation - we do run background checks
