Looking for a kind and patient caregiver with a sense of humor and experience working with elders with dementia. Position requires companionship, hands-on care with hygiene, cooking, laundry, and cleaning. 1 day off per week, plus two-hour break each day. Senior woman is 99% friendly and happy, ambulatory with a walker, and verbal. Her 2-room, 1 bath suite is on the first floor of a house in the lovely Little Harbor neighborhood in Portsmouth. Caregiver's bedroom is on the second floor, with separate full bath. Adult grandchildren (married couple, no children) may live in the third floor master suite. Senior's daughter lives just a few blocks away in downtown Portsmouth. 30k/yr plus housing. Home has full cable, wifi, laundry, large kitchen, yard, front porch, and off-street parking. References and background check required.
