Description: This position is for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)working with various AVMS suppliers of complexproducts mainly in the Nashua, NH region.This position is part of the LM Aero Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team, within the LM Aero Quality & Mission Success organization and reports to the Associate Manager of SQM Air Vehicle & Mission Systems (AVMS) Commodities.Responsibilities of the selected SQE are:- Accepts purchased products to support programdevelopment, production, and sustainment on behalfof LM Aero.- To ensure long term defect reduction andelimination to continuously reduce cost of poorquality associated with procured product.- To ensure long term supplier compliance tocontractual quality requirements, as they relate to LMAero product.The selected candidate will be accountable forcollaborating with executive leadership at the suppliersites and at LM Aero to solve technical andcontractual issues, and ensuring execution alignswith the quality and affordability goals set by LM.The position requires about 30-50% travel within theUnited States.Based on supplier performance, location of work maychange after 18-24 months.Basic Qualifications:This position is located at a facility that requires special accessBachelor's degree or above in a STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline.Experience in Quality Management Systems, e.g.,International (ISO), National (AS) standards.Experience performing complete rootcause/corrective and/or preventive action as relatedto supplier performance.Experience evaluating supplier performance.Must be a US Citizen.Desired Skills:Working knowledge of continuous improvementMethods to insure improving supplier quality performance.Certified Quality Engineer.Demonstrated understanding of and experienceperforming surveillance as required for Qualityapplications.Project Management training / experience.Proven ability to work independently.Conflict resolution training /experience.Statistical process control (SPC) experience.Proficiency with Quality Assurance processes andprocedures.Greenbelt / Blackbelt certification.Proficiency with SAP.Experience delivering presentations to leadership andcustomers.Industrial Engineering experienceProject Management experience a plus.Possess hands-on, working knowledge of Engineeringdrawings, Manufacturing, and Quality processes.Read and communicate technical and contractualIssues with suppliers and perform purchase order reviews.Read and interpret blueprints and technicalspecifications.Working technical knowledge of Electrical or FluidSystems design or manufacturing process and techniques.Strong written, verbal communication and organizationalskills.Ability to tactfully achieve desired actions.Strong interpersonal skills (will engage with seniorleaders).BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
