Open Position:
Full Time for Consulting Level IT Technician
Local Managed Service Provider is looking to expand its IT service team. Customer service is the primary responsibility. We are looking for a person with the ability to handle Windows client and Server issues, as well as, other networking and application level support providing assistance in person, by phone or remotely. This is a consulting level position. Must be able to move into position with ease. This position involves both field service work and in office work. Travel in the Carson City/Reno area is required with infrequent trips to rural Nevada locations such as Elko, Fallon, Winnemucca and Hawthorne when necessary.
Job Duties:
Handle customer contact and assist customer by identifying problems and providing solutions.
Communicate clearly with customers, co-workers and end users
Triage customer requests to determine urgency
Maintain extensive documentation and records in ticketing system
Assist with both internal and customer related projects as needed
Work with team members in identifying problems, recommending and implementing changes
Provide responsive support to meet SLA requirements of our customers
Meet yearly training goals
Requirements:
Minimum two years in a business IT environment
Professional troubleshooting experience
Experience with Remote Support
Prior MSP or multi-tenant system experience is a plus but not required
Dedication to Continuing Knowledge and advancing technical skill
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to own a problem and see it through to resolution
Self-starter who recognizes a need and takes action to resolve an issue
Excellent listening and communication skills
Excellent oral/written communication skills (emphasis on technical communication) in a business environment
Familiarity with help desk ticketing system
Experience with desktop operating systems and application software products in a Windows environment
Experience with LAN/WAN/SonicWall network/firewall technologies (i.e. installation of routers, switches, and network client software).
Familiarity with SLAs
Experience with HP, HPe, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Sql, SonicWALL, Veeam, VMWare appreciated but not required
PowerShell or other windows based scripting knowledge a big plus
