Job Profile: Loan Underwriter (Remote)

Pierpoint is looking for talented Underwriters to join our team.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Loan Underwriting experience
- Using automated or manual underwriting engines review, analyze and underwrite files for various lenders according to their prescribed guideline.
- Review and verify all financial documents.
- Scrutinize accounts from which the applicant’s funds are originating to determine the credit worthiness of the applicant.
- Assess the property appraisal to ensure accuracy and appropriateness relative to loan being requested.
- Ensure conditions have been reviewed and approved for compliance and completion of loan.
- Maintains current knowledge of lender and investor requirements.
- Assists processors and other underwriters in understanding underwriting decisions and conditions.
- Make recommendations for credit and final approval to gain lending authority.
- This position may require frequent over time, at times on a daily basis; must be available to work additional hours on short notice as determined by management to meet client service level agreements.
