Our Company has one exciting mission: To entertain the human race .It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Sourcing Manager – Operating Supplies &Equipment (OS&E) to assist in leading strategic sourcing activities for assigned categories for MGM Resorts International and subsidiary companies. Assigned categories include, but are not limited to: Food & Beverage Supplies and Equipment (i.e. disposable items, chinaware, flatware, glassware, kitchen equipment, etc.), First Aid Supplies, and Pest Elimination services. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.

Assist in leading strategic sourcing efforts for assigned OS&E related products and services required by the company’s various properties.

Collaborate with internal customers to determine property requirements and expectations.

Develop and issue comprehensive companywide requests for proposals/information/quotes.

Conduct bid response analysis to identify the most suitable supplier based on product quality, pricing and award terms.

Assist in negotiating, writing, and executing supplier contracts for assigned projects.

Assist with the development and execution of project implementation plans to ensure successful program roll-outs and property compliance.

Conduct in-depth financial and spend analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.

Conduct market trend and supplier analyses to identify opportunities for generating additional value for internal customers.

Assist in developing sourcing project plans.

Monitor and report supplier performance, property purchase trends, and program compliance as needed.

Assist in the development and implementation of solutions to identified issues.

Assist in identifying and developing qualified diverse suppliers.

Assist in identifying alternative products or processes to support company sustainability initiatives.

Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; or equivalent experience.

At least 2 years of finance, supply chain, or related experience.

Excellent customer service skills.

Able to lead and mentor a team.

Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

Previous experience conducting bid processes (i.e. RFI, RFP, and informal bids) and negotiating supplier agreements.

Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management Certified (CPSM) (or other professional certification).

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
