DescriptionStaff Accountant candidates will be interested in Robert Half Finance's full-time opportunity with a stable, growing company. To excel in this position, you should enjoy challenges and be adept at managing multiple projects. In this Staff Accountant role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. To succeed in this role, you will need to be an effective liaison, highly trainable, good at handling requests, enjoy asking questions, enthused and energetic. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, at a company where effort is rewarded. You might thrive in this role if you are a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for project accounting and fixed assets accounting.How you will make an impact Responsible for project accounting activities for construction in progress Maintains and prepares Fixed Asset and Construction In Progress account reconciliations to support documentation Reviews and manages capital appropriations for multiple entities Performs responsibilities in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls Maintains project and fixed asset databases and subledgers through transactional activity Prepares journal entries and various adjusting entries to meet GAAP guidelines Prepares reconciliations, analysis or journal entries for a timely and accurate closing of account balances Performs other duties as assignedIf you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please email your resume in confidence to Kathy Beavers at [email protected]: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related fieldRequired Experience: Minimum of one year of staff accountant experience Minimum of one year of fixed asset accounting experience Account reconciliation experience of balance sheet and income statement Public company experience desirable, but not required Sarbanes Oxley experience desirable, but not required Hands on computer experience with general ledger accounting system is a must Experience with Microsoft Excel is requiredPreferred Experience: Oracle experience preferred, not required Manufacturing/production, cost/inventory accounting experience preferred, not requiredRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professionals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
