The Gold Bar project and future mine is located within the Battle Mountain-Eureka-Cortez gold trend of Eureka County, Central Nevada. The property has seen historic mining from 1990 to 1994 by Atlas Precious Metals Inc. The nearest mine is Waterton Global’s Ruby Hill Mine at approximately 25 miles to the Southeast. Starting from 50 miles North and Northwest of Gold Bar is the Barrick Nevada operation, with a 2017 cumulative production of 2.3 million ounces of gold from its Cortez and Goldstrike mines.Job DescriptionThe Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all building maintenance. The position will report to the Maintenance General Forman. The Facilities Maintenance Tech will oversee all repairs and maintenance for safety equipment and other general building construction as needed.Responsibilities
Works with various building materials such as hardware, finishing materials, dry-wall, concrete, fixtures, and various structural elements
Works with and supports various departments
Assists with and performs routine and non-routine maintenance activities
Daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
Operate equipment (skid steer, forklift, water truck, light vehicle)
May assist in ordering and receiving materials
Transport materials as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Two or more years’ experience
Knowledge of basic carpentry and plumbing
Knowledge of Building codes and regulations
Proven safety record
Self-motivated / Multitasker
Requirement(s):
Current US Driver’s License
