What do you get to do in this position?
This position is responsible for making adjustments on tools, dies, molds, presses, machines, fixtures and equipment to produce parts of the required quality. Inspects parts to blueprints and secures first-piece approval before running. Weighs, identifies, and transports parts and materials. Notifies supervisor when materials, parts, tools, and equipment are not functioning properly or of the desired quality. Checks to be sure safety devices are in place and in proper operation. Maintains and lubricates presses, dies, molds, equipment, and related tooling. Obtains correct raw stock or parts from designated locations and places them into appropriate material handling equipment. Load stuffers, presses or dies with designated material. Places materials, parts, tools, dies, molds, fixtures and equipment in proper locations.
Starting pay rate is $20.02 per hour in addition to the following shift premiums:
B/D shifts: $1.56/hour
2nd shift: $.45/hour
3rd shift: $3.00/hour
This position might be for you if you have:
- Experience working on cars
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- A background working with cam driven machines or equipment
Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. required
Experience: Previous work experience preferred, but not required.
Must be able to pass a skills assessment tests on reading comprehension, arithmetic skills, and mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to work one of the following shifts:
B Shift: 7pm-7am (11.5 hour shift); Sunday-Tuesday with alternating Saturday
D shift: 7pm-7am (11.5 hour shift); Wednesday-Friday with alternating Saturday
2nd shift: 2:30-10:51pm (8 hour shift); Monday - Friday plus OT
3rd shift: 10:30pm-6:51am (8 hour shift); Monday- Friday plus OT
