Registered Nurses needed to conduct assessments of long-term care insurance policyholders. These are non-medical, cognitive and functional assessments which take 90 minutes to complete. When we have an assessment needed in your area, depending on your availability, you can accept or decline each opportunity. You determine the distance you are willing to travel. We reimburse for mileage after the first 30 miles roundtrip. AssuriCare will provide training to prepare you for performing onsite assessments.
To join the AssuriCare Onsite Assessor Network we have the following minimum requirements:
- You must be a Registered Nurse in the state where the assessment will be performed
- You are obligated to undergo a federal and state criminal background check
- Experience working with geriatric clients and their families is helpful
- Ability to clearly document every detail of the assessment
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to travel to client's homes or facilities
- Ability to communicate via cell phone and email
- Have a printer for printing the assessment tools
- Have a scanner or fax machine for sending documents containing private health information
Assessments include the following areas:
- Obtain details of the client's demographic information, health history including diagnosis and medications, as well as current care in place
- Observe and record the client demonstrating their functional ability with activities of daily living (mobility, transfers, dressing, toileting, bathing, eating)
- Perform a brief cognitive exam
- Record details of the client's ability to perform instrumental activities of daily living (using the telephone, making meals, laundry, medication administration etc.)
Payment is automatically mailed to you for each assessment completed within 30 days.
