In this role, you will be responsible for the following: physical grain origination, hedging and partnering with producers through the use of CRM marketing solutions, working closely with producers to make and follow through with individual grain marketing plans, plant corn receiving team, product line management, finance, sales team and merchandising team members, and focusing on gaining experience in trading and agricultural commodities.Principal Accountabilities65% Customer Facing - Travel in the Blair, NE draw area to meet with targeted corn producers using personal vehicle. This will include originating corn via standard grain contracts and Cargill grain marketing solutions, developing producer relationships, identifying market opportunities via basis trading and understanding of market opportunities for key grain competitors. Initiate, negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase contracts, such as price, quality, quantity, execution, and closure of those contracts. This includes a high focus on developing/maintaining strong customer relationships with producers. Required use of tools such as SalesForce.com and CargillAg to drive grain origination and customer solutions and service.20% Work closely with Blair Merchant Team, CSST Merchandising Team, CASC Sales/Merchandising Team, and Customer Risk Management Marketing team to achieve success in performance goals. Help identify trading opportunities, survey market and crop progress conditions, and other economic forces in order to maintain and grow Cargill’s position in the marketplace.15% Timely and effective communication and interaction with other Cargill teams such as sales, transportation and logistics, quality assurance, plant personnel, engineers and grain accountants. Effectively communicate local market information. Assist with promotional marketing, origination programs, and territory planning.QualificationsRequired Qualifications

Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree

Minimum 6 months of agricultural sales or origination experience.

Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Demonstrated experience working with customers and managing relationships.

Must be able to manage customer base of 100 plus customers.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of logistics management and grain flows.

Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.

Motivated and driven to succeed. Demonstrated self-starter.

Flexibility to work off-hour activities and events as necessary including, but not limited to corn harvest, producer marketing meetings, etc.

Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment and business conditions.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Sound judgment and decision-making skills, even when outcome is uncertain.
