Precast Manager/Laborer (Missoula)
Diversified Materials and Construction in Missoula is seeking 2 qualified candidates for the positions of precast manager and a precast laborer.
The main duties of the precast manager consist of pre-inspection and post-inspection of precast concrete including mix design, concrete placement and consolidation, and curing and setting and setting forms. This person will assist with the implementation of best practices and techniques in regards to quality and mix design optimization.
Essential functions of the precast manager:
Manage and oversee precast division
Supervise employees, monitor activities and satisfy reporting requirements in accordance with our company policies
ASTM certified to test air and slump and prepare cylinders for testing
Maintain quality control
Maintain accurate production records and maximize production efficiency
Comply with all safety regulations, maintain clean and orderly work areas, and adhere to company, OSHA and MSHA safety guidelines at all times
Promote a safe work environment for all staff, vendors, and customers
Additional tasks may include maintaining a clean work area, free of safety hazards,
Comply with all company policies and directives for the fulfillment of maximum production and quality objectives
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years of age. 5 years supervisory experience with aggregate operations. MSHA certified. Familiarity with MSHA, ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, DOT, and state and federal procedures. Trained and certified as a concrete field tester or ACI, Grade 1, or ACI field testing 1.
Essential functions of the precast laborer will vary by the day and job assignment. This is an entry level position in the construction industry.
