Clark Fork School is looking for a Lead Teacher in our mixed Pre-K/K classroom (5-6 year olds) and an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-K classroom (3-5 year olds), for the 2020-2021 school year. As a local leader in outdoor education, CFS is Missoula’s natural alternative for Early Childhood Education, Pre-K and Elementary After-School Enrichment Programs, and Summer Camps for students aged 2 years old through 5th grade. Our progressive, parent-guided co-op offers small classes, a nature-based curriculum taught by exceptional educators, and a commitment to each child’s social and emotional development.
Salary is based upon experience. Requirements for Lead Teacher:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary or Early Education license/certification is preferred OR a degree in a related field with at least two years experience in a licensed childcare setting is required.
- Experience teaching in and designing curriculum for a pre-K/K classroom.
- Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance to Clark Fork School’s outdoor-based program and policies.
- Respect and interest in nature- and play-based learning, a love for children, and a caring demeanor is a must!
Requirement for Assistant Teacher Position:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field is preferred, or two years experience in a licensed childcare setting and high school diploma is required.
- Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance to Clark Fork School’s outdoor-based program and policies.
- Respect and interest in nature- and play-based learning, a love for children, and a caring demeanor is a must!
