Water & Wastewater Maintenance I
Flathead County Water & Sewer District No. 1 – Evergreen is accepting applications for a Water & Wastewater Maintenance I technician, reporting to the District’s Field Supervisor. Salary range (non-exempt) starting at $18.00 per hour or higher DOE and whether applicant has current required certifications. Benefits (with certain qualifications) include Medical Insurance paid 100%, Family Medical Insurance paid 75%, a 457 Plan, Vacation and Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays. Applicant must possess a valid Montana Driver’s License, have a High School degree or equivalent, and possess or have the ability to train for and obtain a Class 2 Certification in Water Distribution and Class 3 Water Treatment Certification. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing repairs and maintenance on District property, systems, and equipment, trench and confined space work, reading meters, maintaining written records as required and complying with safety procedures, performing skilled work in the operation of water pumping, booster station, lift stations, water distribution system, and sewer collection system. This is an on-call position in a rotation to be compensated at an on-call rate. Physical requirements include lifting up to 100 lbs. (or greater with assistance); physical demands include bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, squatting, walking, dirt work, snow removal, and getting in and out of vehicles. Work is performed generally outside in variable weather and uncontrollable environments.
