Flathead Valley based General Contracting firm seeks experience Project Engineer for full time employment opportunity.
Project Engineer Job Description:
Work from project location and report directly to Project Superintendent.
Schedule equipment and materials at the Project Superintendents direction.
Accurately and continuously update the master drawing set electronically.
Analyze construction documents and drawings. Forecast any possible field problems.
Recognize discrepancies between construction documents and field conditions; communicate interpreted information to the Architect, Project Superintendent, and Project Manager
Acquire, Process, and Track project submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents. Ensure timeliness of all submittals and shop drawings to not adversely affect the overall project schedule.
Write RFI's as directed by the Project Superintendent.
Participate in all meetings on-site including pre-construction, subcontractor and OAC meetings.
Produce & Update project logs: RFIs, Submittals, Meeting Minutes, Etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in related field or at least 3 years of relevant construction industry experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, and Bluebeam preferred.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Strong math and analytical skills, with the ability to self-manage time.
Foster positive teamwork relationships with vendors and fellow employees.
Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment.
Reliable with a positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
