Pebblestone Square Apartments in Deer Lodge, Montana has an opening for a Property Manager and Maintenance Technician for a 24-unit Tax Credit/Section 8 property. The Management position may include an apartment on-site.

Duties of Management would be accepting rental applications, marketing, taking telephone calls about the apartments and gaining knowledge of State and Federal guidelines. This will involve: either performing or arranging for site or property maintenance, performing periodic inspections, processing applications, and doing annual recertification for existing units in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Affordable Housing and Fair Housing Guidelines or willingness to gain knowledge after hire.

Duties of Maintenance include a working knowledge of various appliances. Familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry. Candidate must have their own tools for the job. Must be able to clear snow in a timely manner and mow and water in spring and summer months.

Ability to communicate effectively with prospective tenants and regulators. Ability to safely use and maintain common maintenance tools, i.e. wrenches, hammers, wheelbarrows, jacks, and step ladders.

Must have a valid MT Driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current liability insurance, and be able to pass a criminal background check.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position are usually acquired through education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in managing residential or commercial properties is desirable. Willingness to gain experience in these areas is required.
