Despite the challenges of 2020, our mid-size Kansas City client continues to thrive! A result of steady growth over the last few months, a second Software Developer will be joining one of the most visible and respected Scrum teams within the organization.While this Software Developer will create both Windows and Web apps, with a focus more heavily on the Windows side. Strong SQL skills are required as this individual will work closely with the teams two Database Developers on engineering ETL processes. If you enjoy working in a CI/CD environment, working with Azure, C#.Net, WPF and have an interest in expanding your DevOps skills, this is the role for you! This team has been working remotely since Covid hit in March and will continue to do so, at least through the end of the year. However, looking ahead into 2021, as of now, our client does anticipate transitioning back into the office sometime in the first quarter. Therefore, applicants local to the KC metro area or those actively looking to relocate will be given preference as onsite work will be required. This is a six-month contract to full-time opportunity, target salary upon conversion 90,000-110,000 DOE. Key responsibilities:-Build out a UI for an internal application-Write complex SQL queries - 30% of the day will focus on front end development (WPF, JavaScript) 70% middle tier/back end development-85% Windows, 15% web - Focus on cloud development, specifically with Azure in a CICD environment- Write Stored Procedures and collaborate with the teams two Database Developers on ETL processes - Develop new applications in C#.Net- Regularly perform code-review and collaborate with other developers Requirements - 3+ years of Microsoft Stack development experience - Experience with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database) preferred - ETL knowledge- Experience documenting, crafting, and testing APIs- Comprehensive knowledge of C#- Good understanding of object oriented design- Hands-on experience with Multi Threading- .NET Framework experience- Experience with SQL Stored Procedures- Strong familiarity with WPF - Windows Presentation Foundations - CI/CD experience-Azure is a plus-Agile/Scrum preferred Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with some of the best companies on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
