65125BRJob Title:Patient Financial Services SupervisorJob Description:As a Senior Patient Financial Services Supervisor you plan and supervise daily operations of patient financial services department providing supervision and direction to a team of patient financial service department staff; managing all daily processing facets of patient financial services department; and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, federal, state, and other regulatory agencies related to patient financial services. You also monitor key performance metrics, drive performance and propose operational improvements to meet organizational benchmarks; and review and approve complex or escalated adjustments, bad debt, or outside agency assignment placements and refund to accounts according to authority level. In addition, you delegate the work appropriately, providing clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks; identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed; create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize their accomplishments; and provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability, and connect opportunities for your associates’ development.Auto req ID:65125BRAdditional Information:Applicants for U.S. based positions with Cerner Corporation must be legally authorized to work in the United States. High School diploma or equivalent
At least 5 years’ Patient financial services or medical revenue cycle department work experience
At least 1 year of people management work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree in Business or Accounting
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
Expectations
Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City Metropolitan area
Able to travel up to 20% as needed
