As we continue to grow, we look for people dedicated to service and quality.Job Objective: Assists the physicians/providers with the examination and treatment of patients and performs routine tasks as required. Participates in the planning and evaluation of injured worker patient care. Coordinates and monitors work comp patient services to ensure compassionate and efficient care. Responsible for placing orders and gathering diagnostic test result information to assist physicians/providers in treating patients and coordinating their care.Responsibilities

Rooms patients, obtains vital signs, and assists with specified exams.

Enters and updates patient information in electronic medical record system, including placing orders for diagnostic testing, prescription refills. Verifies documents for appointments are scanned into EMR system.

Compiles reports and assists with completion of physician documentation in a timely manner. Creates authorization requests for referrals for specialist consultations, diagnostic imaging, and procedures.

Primary contact for physician referrals, works closely with Work Comp adjusters, insurance carriers and attorneys.

Assists with procedures, administers injections and tuberculin skin tests.

Promotes wellness and the management of injuries within the occupational medicine setting, including patient education regarding follow-up care or discharge instructions.

Maintains certification in urine drug screen collection, breath alcohol testing, hearing and vision testing, blood borne pathogen assessment and process, immunization assessment and vaccinations.

Provides coverage for Employee Health Services clinical staff during peak periods or absence of clinical staff, and assists with annual surveillance campaigns.

Travels to various work sites to perform services as needed; provides coverage to meet the needs of outside Occupational Health clients, including on-site services.

Qualifications

Current Montana RN license required. BSN is preferred

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in similar position within a medical setting (eg, physician office, clinic, or hospital) required.

Occupational/employee health experience preferred.

Knowledge of professional nursing theory – able to apply knowledge and evaluate patients.

CPR certification required.

Knowledge of work related injury care, diagnostic, interventional, surgical and other procedures, and the care of this patient population.

Current MT drivers’ license or ability to travel to and from various job sites.
