Weir ESCOs Sr. Maintenance Planner receives and reviews all non-emergency work orders. Responsibilities include reviewing and screening each work order for proper completion by requester, determine scope of work and best way to be accomplished, and identify and obtain materials required. Consults with the requester, maintenance team leaders, engineers, or craftsmen as needed.

Success in this role requires being self-motivated, able to work independently under minimal supervision, and organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Professional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Job Duties:

Ensure safety needs are top priority in work planning and scheduling; participate in plant audits and maintain records to ensure maintenance activities are compliant for safety, environment, and quality requirements

Review all non-emergency work orders; review, plan and schedule all recurring PM (preventive maintenance) activities; generate, assign, and follow-up on work orders and ensure that all required materials are available

Coordinate with maintenance team leaders and facility supervisor to properly prioritize work and ensure proper resource allocation

Maintain planner reference systems (library) including a file of planned job packages for recurring jobs; determine technical documentation that will support the craftsmen; maintain maintenance Bill of Materials (BOM), spare parts list, and critical equipment OEM manuals

Ensure completed schedules and work orders are returned promptly and review for proper completion

Purchase maintenance supplies and parts for daily and preventative maintenance work while monitoring and controlling costs; work with maintenance stores to analyze stock quantities of spare parts and general use items; recommend stocking levels to support increased critical equipment uptime while optimizing inventory levels; continuously update MSDS inventory for all maintenance hazardous products and ensure a log is kept of all active contractors for clearance certificate purposes

Work within the maintenance planning team to manage and maintain all aspects of the Oracle eAM Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)

Qualifications:

Minimum of a post-secondary education in business, engineering, or an equivalent technical program

Planning experience using a similar CMMS system in a maintenance organization

Working knowledge of skilled crafts such as electricity/electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing and pipefitting, HVAC and carpentry

Knowledge of mechanical maintenance work processes and preventative maintenance activities

Proficiency with MS Office

Experience with Oracle eAM, SAP-PM, or Maximo helpful

Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States

May be required to lift 30-40 lbs. periodically.
