The Information Security Engineer is responsible for system security efforts by providing appropriate access to and protecting the confidentiality and integrity of customer and business information in compliance with enterprise policies and standards. This role is also responsible for the research, technical analysis, recommendation, configuration, and administration of systems and procedures to ensure the protection of information processed, stored or transmitted. The position requires a strong working relationship with IT and business users to ensure security services are aligned with the needs of the business, risks are effectively managed and the proper level of security awareness is maintained across the organization. Job-Specific Requirements: Education Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Security certifications strongly desired (e.g., GAIC GSEC, GWAP)
- 3+ years hands-on Information Technology experience - including at least 1 year of Information Security experience in research, design, build, deployment, operations, and support phases
- Strong understanding of networking infrastructure concepts, technologies, protocols, and solutions expected
- Vulnerability management and SIEM experience desired
- Comfort working across multiple computing platforms (Windows, AS/400, zOS)
- Ability and desire to research and solve complex business and technology problems
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, multi-tasking, project management, and communication skills
- Customer focused and service oriented to ensure timely and accurate performance and benchmark achievement
