This will help us understand the things that you do better than others - the talents that you rely on to succeed.Principal Accountabilities:

Accountable for maintenance and repair of all processing equipment including Hammermills, Pellet mills, Batch Mixers, conveyors, grain elevator legs and packaging lines. This will include working on 3-phase, 480V motors; replacing gear boxes, bearings, etc.; plumbing/piping liquid, compressed air and high-pressure steam lines; welding, fabricating and installing new equipment as needed. Troubleshoot causes of plant equipment problems and work independently and/or with maintenance team and equipment operators to ensure proper and permanent fixes are in place. Ensure all work performed conforms to Cargill’s Appearance and Housekeeping expectations and actively work to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Maintain adherence to all Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures to keep the facility in compliance with all Federal and State laws. Test and operate steam boiler system to ensure permit compliance. Support and champion Reliability Excellence and drive departmental efficiencies.

QualificationsRequired:

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.

Must be able to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing,

maintenance, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

Ability to work in elevated areas.

Must be able to operate machinery.

Ability to work overtime.

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.

At least 1 year of experience in production related work.

At least 1 year of experience in maintenance roles.

Preferred:

Able to read/write English.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist and lubrication.

Able to operate heavy equipment

Forklift certified.

Strong mechanical aptitude and computer skills.

Experience with compressed air systems and cylinders and PLC operated equipment.

Understanding of boiler operation

Ability to utilize electrical prints and tools

Good Math Skills.

Dependable and punctual

Critical thinking skills

Consistent work history in the last 12 months.
