Job Description: Bookkeeper
Overview:
Fun and casual small business looking to replace our beloved bookkeeper of 10 years. We operate both a restaurant (Olivia's Organic Café) and a catering/event planning business (Hire a Host) from our Burnsville location. We are hiring two part time bookkeepers one to handle the bookkeeping of the restaurant and one to handle the bookkeeping of the catering/event planning.
Office Atmosphere:
Open cubicles with creative women planning parties, stuffing swag bags, and packing for events. Phones ringing with happy repeat clients wanting to book their next party. Owner/chef in kitchen (adjacent to offices) recipe testing and prepping food (lots of sampling!) Restaurant with organic, gluten free/dairy free food and espressos on the other side of the kitchen.
Primary Responsibilities:
Process accounts payables and receivables
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger
Submit quarterly sales tax
Process payroll via QuickBooks Pro (Desktop)
Run credit cards

Critical thinking skills which enable one to envision what's lacking in systems/processes and the creativity to improve them
Management skills necessary to enforce accounting protocols are being followed by sales and support teams
