Summary :

The Reimbursement Analyst assists reporting, audit support, accounting, analysis, revenue opportunities, and systems related to third party payors.

Prepares reporting to assist Revenue Cycle leadership for accounts receivable and billing denial management. Facilitate charge capture monitoring.

The Reimbursement Analyst demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his / her attitude and actions are at all time consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.

Responsibilities :

Assists in preparation of cost reports and interim reporting for Medicare, Medicaid, and Blue Cross payors.Prepares reporting used in financial statement net revenue, net patient accounts receivable, and third party receivables on all open year.

Prepares reconciliations for monthly financials statements and audits. Provides support for audit requestes.Prepares monthly revenue cycle reporting and billing denial management reporting.

Assists revenue cycle managers with analysis.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCERequired : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, or other related field. Prior finance experience preferredHealth care experience preferredKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIESProficient in computer applications including EPIC EMR, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.Detail oriented approach to problem solving.Strong analytical skills needed to compile information, summarize, draw conclusions from financial and statistical data.

Demonstrated organizational skills.Sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive issues and material.

Project a positive and energetic image.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to maintain punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
