Lead-Patient Flow - Nursing Administration 001 - PRN Rotating - Ascension St. Mary's - Saginaw, MI

The position is located in our transfer center and is PRN. We have 1-2 shifts per week available. These are 12 hour shifts on both days and nights.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with St. Mary's of Michigan-MI, you will have the opportunity to assign beds to patients based on availability and diagnosis.

Obtains all the necessary patient information, determines availability and prioritizes bed assignments.

Responsibilities :

Consults with unit nursing leadership regarding placement of new and transferred patients and assigns beds to patients based on room availability and clinical diagnosis in order to ensure optimal placement of patients.

Places patients in requested or overflow unit by following physician orders to ensure appropriate placement of patients.

Prioritizes work flow for environmental services staff when multiple nursing units have multiple rooms to clean in order to ensure patients waiting for admission are places in rooms appropriately.

Maintains relevant patient documentation and department logs.

Education :

Diploma High school diploma or GED required.LPN / Paramedic / EMT preferred.

Work Experience :

1 year of experience required.

Patient throughput experience strongly preferred.
