Job Title: Property Management Assistant
Location: Saginaw, MI
Property management company looking for an Assistant to coordinate tenant relations, leasing, repairs, bookkeeping, and other administrative duties. Minimum 20 hours / week with opportunity to increase hours if desired. This position has flexible hours and days. Option to work remotely (but based in Saginaw) or in office. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
Tenant Relations
Addressing and resolving residents' questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner.
Fielding and coordinating maintenance / repair requests with tenants and contractors.
Managing Tenant notices.
Coordinate move-in / move-out processes with tenants.
Leasing
Creating and distributing marketing materials to attract new tenants.
Preparing & scheduling property viewings, conducting property tours, & interviewing prospective tenants.
Processing applications, conducting credit checks, and coordinating lease signing.
Bookkeeping
Managing budgets, accounts, and rent collections.
Coordinate bill payment.
Administrative
Maintaining organized and updated resident files and records.
Fielding general inquiries via email or phone.
Reporting any problems or issues to the property manager.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Basic bookkeeping skills.
Self motivated
Detail-orientated
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in business, management or real estate preferred.
Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Previous experience in property management or real estate.
Experience working with Quicken, Quickbooks, or similar accounting software
