With our product portfolio, dedication to quality, globalreach, entrepreneurial setting and competitive strength, we're at a great placeto build a lasting career.Tenneco is seeking a driven,self-motivated Sales/Supply Chain/Engineering focused student who has aninterest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Clean AirCorporate facility located in Northville, Michigan.As a Tenneco Summer CommercialSales Intern, you will be given the opportunity to learn about your chosencareer field through hands-on work, management shadowing opportunities,and training events, among other responsibilities that support the Salesdepartment.Possible responsibilities include:Assist with collection and organization of dataAnalysis of data (market, customer, competitor)Actively monitor supplier portals, websites anddatabases for research needsParticipate in strategic account planning phase ofprojectSupport customer communication & interactions insupport of projectREQUIREMENTS:Required of an Intern:Must be able to travel throughout the term of the internshipMust be able to work independently and in a team based environmentExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsEffective time management skillsProficient in Excel, PowerPoint and WordMinimum Qualifications:Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accreditedinstitutionStudent with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higherAbility to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship periodMay-August 2020Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's licenseAbility to provide own transportation to/from the job siteLegally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Sales, Business, SupplyChain, or Engineer from an accredited institutionStudent with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
