A Coopersville based transportation firm is looking for a weekend fleet dispatcher.
We seek a detail-oriented person who is very familiar with and comfortable using a desktop computer and email as much as a phone. Accuracy is a must, as we are dealing with people's livelihood. An easy-going personality is appreciated, because we want to treat customers and those earning our wages well. A cool thinker is highly valued. If you have that, we can train you to use our dispatching software.
A CDL is not required, but it would sure give you an edge up, as would knowledge of the Hours of Service Regulations, familiarity with E-logs and the trucking regulations we operate under.
We dispatch trucks every day of the week.
We can be be flexible with the start and end times as long as your team can get the work done accurately. However, we don't go home until the problems of that day are mapped out and solved.
You must also be available to take after-hours calls related to the work you are involved in.
We'll pay based upon what you bring to the table, not necessarily experience. This is hard work, but we will treat you well and pay you even better.
Training will take during the week until you are up to speed, then your schedule will be Fri, Sat, Sun, and Monday morning. 3.5 days on, 3.5 days off.
