The KR Group, Inc. is recruiting for a paid IT Help desk Intern. The team is looking for a smart, energetic college student or recent graduate that can work 16 hours or more per week. The preferred student would be currently engaged in a computer science or business curriculum. The person needs to be reliable and committed. At The KR Group, Inc. the intern will work with under the direction of an IT Manager and Systems Engineers. This is a great opportunity for a person to both strengthen their understanding of technical skills and learn the inner workings of an I.T. company.
Responsibilities
Inventory, sort, document and catalog incoming IT equipment
Install and configure new computers and other IT equipment
Help pick-up and deliver IT equipment to storage and similar facilities
Diagnose and resolve desktop/laptop software issues
Diagnose and resolve issues that affect computer operating systems
Diagnose desktop/network printing issues
Track, prioritize and document requests using the IT ticketing system
Troubleshooting of systems, networks, and applications to identify issues and correct them.
Provide IT support call routing via Help Desk main phone line
Qualifications
College student or recent graduate studying computer science or business.
Hands on experience with Windows 10 and Windows 7 operating system(s)
Customer service focus
Detail oriented individual who takes pride in his/her work.
Positive attitude. Energetic. Desire to learn and advance current skill set
Reliable transportation
Ability to work 16 hours or more per week
Ability to work additional hours during school breaks/vacations
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
