New Hotel Mertens, a traditional brasserie, bakery and rooftop lounge in downtown Grand Rapids, is hiring an assistant general manager.
This role will hold significant responsibility for the guest experience and all FOH/BOH operations at the brasserie, bakery, and the rooftop lounge at New Hotel Mertens. This job description is limited in nature it focuses on operational planning, day-to-day operations and executing the guest experience, and few matters related to administration, finance, or commercial; thus this role will be given the freedom to focus on operations and not be distracted by administrative burdens.
Ideal Applicant:
The ideal applicant is likely a current FOH-focused manager at a prominent restaurant or a F&B manager or director at a prominent high-end hotel that has meaningful F&B operations.
It is essential that this candidate be well-rounded and healthy. Drug-testing will be a requirement before any candidate is hired, with recurrent drug testing after employment.
Salary: $45,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year plus bonus
