We are seeking one dedicated Crew Leader Farmworker to join our team, specializing in general farm labor and nursery stock management. The ideal candidate will provide first-line supervision and coordination of agricultural workers, ensuring effective training in techniques such as planting, cultivating, harvesting, and adherence to safety measures. Responsibilities: Train workers in safe equipment operation and agricultural techniques. - Take direction from management regarding work schedules, production requirements, and equipment and supply conditions. - Work in a greenhouse facility to plant, cultivate, harvest, transplant, spray, weed, fertilize, trim, and water plants using hand tools and gardening tools. - Perform general tasks including shoveling, hoeing, ground preparation, lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading plant supplies. - Clear debris from fields and maintain cleanliness of greenhouse buildings, structures, equipment, and work areas. - Prepare soil for planting and cultivate and maintain nursery stock and bedding plants for shipping and sale to customers. - Harvest, pack, label, tag, and store plants, while also selecting and preparing orders for dispatch. - Load and unload plants and supplies from trucks and manage the positioning of plants for customer orders. - Remove and apply shade tarps to greenhouses as needed. - Operate tractors, plant fixing machines, and other machinery to fertilize, cultivate, harvest, de-leaf, and spray plants. Work will occur in Kent, Muskegon, and Ottawa counties, Michigan.
