Job Description: Auto Parts Sales Consultant
MUST HAVE AN UPDATED RESUME
Previous automotive sales experience a plus. As a counter sales consultant your job will be to sell recycled, aftermarket, new and OEM Surplus auto and truck parts to body shops, mechanical shops and the retail public. Sales will be done at the counter and over phone. You will need professional phone skills, computer skills, common sense and a polite and good sales attitude.
Hours are from 9:00 to 6:00 Monday - Friday. Sales requirements include:
Knowledge of auto parts (Experience with Powerlink/Hollander a huge plus)
Good customer service skills
Common Sense/good decision-making skills
Computer Skills a must
Professional phone skills, well spoken with clear articulation and knows how to listen
Clean, neat and professional appearance
Have an excellent work ethic/always on time and dependable
Be a team player and get along with others
Good with daily paperwork/organized
Ability to balance daily cash drawer
Follow directions from management
Must be honest and trustworthy
Have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Employment with Oil City Auto Salvage is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Oil City Auto Salvage located in Shepherd, MI has been in business for more than 60 years. Under new ownership as of December 1st, 2017. We sell recycled, new, OEM surplus and aftermarket parts for late model auto and lite trucks. OCAS operates from a 66 acre facility with multiple indoor parts storage facilities. All professionally organized using the latest industry inventory management software. We are also in the process of building our online sales presence to cater to a much larger market across the USA.
