Position: Senior IT Field Service Engineer
Responsibilities:
Perform on-site and remote field service tasks, from installing PC hardware to troubleshooting Active Directory, and everything in between.
Create tickets and manage tickets for self and external resources.
Coordinate with remote help-desk personnel, providing support as needed, and accepting escalated tickets.
Coordinate with remote network operations center, providing initial direction and support for server tasks.
Perform audits of managed systems and respond to problems as discovered.
Oversee independent contractors who may be engaged for specific tasks.
Work with third-party vendors to implement and solve problems with their hardware or software.
Work closely with VP/CIO to make sure the needs of our clients are being met, and that all service is aligned with the overall IT strategy for that client.

TCP/IP Configuration and Routing
Managed Switch Configuration: vLAN/QoS
Network Printer Configuration
Router Configuration
Office 365
Other technology commonly found in small business settings.
Must Have:
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
A reliable vehicle (to be used for travel to client sites in Eastern MA and RI).
Good rapport with clients.
Ability to explain technical concepts in non-intimidating language.
Ability to see the larger problem (not just the issue at hand) and to develop solutions.
Good administration and time management.
Ability to make recommendations for process and product improvements
Motivation to keep current with latest business technologies and security concerns.
Understanding of the IT services business.
