Organomation, an analytical laboratory instrument manufacturer, founded in 1959 and based in Berlin, MA seeks a motivated individual to support its shipping and light assembly activities. At this time, the company is looking for part time applicants who are looking to work approximately 15 hours each week.
The successful candidate must be able to multi-task and manage various aspects of daily operations including, but not limited to:
Managing the shipping process entirely - from packing through pick up
o It is critical that this individual verifies the accuracy of shipping forms, labels and other documentation
o A quality control check needs to be applied to all outgoing products and accessories prior to packing
Efficient assembly of the company's products at the direction of the Production Manager. This includes assembling small components and sub-assemblies in addition to final products
Successfully receive parts and enter them into our inventory system after checking them for defects
Fostering and supporting relationships with Organomation's staff, vendors and customers
Inventory management, cross training and other projects, as needed
Ability to lift heavy loads unassisted (70 lbs.) required
Preferred experience:
Previously held position(s) with shipping responsibilities
Familiarity with UPS WorldShip
Experience using the InstaPak foam packaging system or similar foam packaging system
Desired skills:
Attention to detail
Competence using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Strong desire to learn and ability to adapt to changing routines
Excellent written/verbal/presentation/communication skills
High energy, positive attitude and intellectual curiosity
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time and projects effectively
