Plant Superintendent Duties
Job Description:
Managerial position now available for third generation family owned manufacturing business. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Overseeing the areas of Worker Safety, Building Maintenance, and Shipping & Receiving. Applicant must have good computer and math skills as well as time management and organization skills. Minimum of 3 years management experience required.
Responsibilities:
Safety Director:
Responsible for compliance of all OSHA rules and regulations.
Train all new employees on safety requirements of YHM.
Ensure employees work safely and comply with all rules and regulations.
Keep all Material Safety Data Sheets and books up to date.
Complete D.O.T. truck registration and truck driver’s yearly physical.
Accompany any state, federal, or local inspector throughout the building.
First responder for first aid.
Building and Grounds Maintenance:
Supervise all building and grounds projects.
Respond to security issues and contact the security company.
Direct supervisor to janitor/ building maintenance.
Perform maintenance work as required.
Shipping and Receiving:
Oversee the day to day operations of the shipping department.
Work with outside vendors on deliveries, pick ups and quality issues.
Drive truck to pick up and deliver.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Criminal background check required.
