Seeking a highly motivated individual who can support a CNC machine shop team for new product and repeat production product. Minimum requirements are 5+ years of CNC programming in a production-manufacturing environment of various milling and lathe CNC machines. Mastercam experience is a must. Solidworks experience is a bonus. Machines are Fanuc controlled. Candidate must be able to create programs to close tolerances and have experience in machining a variety of metals such as Inconel, HAST X, titanium, aluminum, steels, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the generation of CNC code for 4 and 5 axis vertical and horizontal milling machines using latest Mastercam software.
- Responsible for the generation of CNC code for various lathe machines using latest Mastercam software .
- Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of parts to determine optimum tooling and process for the entire scope of the manufacturing of a given part.
- Design fixtures required for holding and processing parts when required.
- Write instruction sheets; provide detailed process drawings and tooling lists to guide set-up and operation of machines.
- Oversee the technical direction of large projects moving through the shop.
