Job Description

This is an exciting time to join Corbus Pharmaceuticals, a clinical stage biotechnology pharmaceutical company with a vision to be the leader in treating inflammatory and fibrotic diseases by targeting the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Corbus’ lead asset, lenabasum, is a novel late-stage development candidate being studied for the treatment of several rare diseases.

As a member of the Medical Affairs, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of medical affairs strategic initiatives. This role requires strong skillset in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and managing logistics and vendors. An important aspect of the role is to ensure following our compliance policy including reporting standards on grants, research, education and engaging health care professionals at Congresses and meetings.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: ​

· In consultation with Medical Affairs Head and Leads, prepare for annual Congress and meeting planning which includes budget, logistics and travel, third-party vendor management, meeting execution, meeting close-out and summaries.

· Work cross functionally (Med Com/Pub, field medical, corporate, commercial, regulatory and legal) to prepare for pre-Congress and on-site team training and Congress debriefs.

· To meet business needs, lead all aspects for meeting planning – procurement, contracting, invoicing, venue selection and logistics (e.g. audio-visual, on-site presentation preparation, attendance management, cost proposals, budget matters, timelines, program evaluations/learnings and follow-up).

· Support the planning and logistics of company meeting (e.g. Global and regional advisory meetings, medical team leadership and training meetings, etc.)

· Manage educational and research (i.e., investigator-initiated research) grant requests and assess for appropriateness and compliance with Corbus criteria, policies and procedures

· Schedule and organize grant review meetings and participate in and track/record grant review meeting output for all appropriate therapeutic areas

· Subsequently route all end-to-end communications (Requests for Info, payments, documentation/reconciliation, requests) through entire grant life (from submission to close out)

· Ensure overall compliance and quality of medical education programs across therapeutic areas; working collaboratively and efficiently with all internal and external customers, partners and other stakeholders

· Work with medical leads and MSLs to evaluate grant requests and provide compelling recommendations for approval/denial based on strategic and compliance considerations

· Coordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of clear criteria to assess Independent Medical Education providers and their grant applications in a consistent and compliant manner for the assigned Corbus therapeutic areas

· Provide operational expertise and support for collaborative and Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) program with functional area oversight to ensure quality of work and appropriate compliance with regulatory requirements

· Ensure all IIR program records are kept up-to-date and accessible for team use and audit-readiness

· Work with Legal Department and Finance business partners to develop and negotiate contractual elements and payment schedules for IIR and other Medical research projects

· Evaluate and confirm all IIR invoices as per company policy and perform payment assessments required for budget reconciliation upon IIR closure or IIR amendment

· Work with Medical Affairs stakeholders, internal partners and external vendors to develop and monitor other Medical Affairs initiatives as needed

· Assist with other duties related to the operations of expanded access and Phase IV/registry studies, including facilitation and management of cross-functional work-streams

· Assist with other duties related to the Medical Affairs Operations function

Qualifications

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferably a degree in life sciences)

· Prior experience with medical affairs operations is required (minimum 2-3 years)

· Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

· Strong organizational skills and business planning, including development of a budget and adherence to targets and timelines

· Manage and adhere to Corbus policies, ensuring compliance with industry rules and government regulations governing scientific interactions with HCPs, professional organizations and the public

· Results oriented, with high standards for individual and team execution and achievement

· Entrepreneurial mindset, motivated by start-up environment with the ability to deal with ambiguity

· Meet challenges consistently and confidently with energy and drive

· Possesses high integrity and exceptional work ethic; effective stakeholder and relationship management

· Proficiency in systems and tools (Outlook, Microsoft suite, etc.)

· Travel required to national and international Medical congresses (up to 30%)
