Dartmouth Motor Inn is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Maintenance Position.
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the facilities to make it safe and functional. Some duties may include painting, plumbing, drywall, electrical, custodial and carpentry.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Check work orders daily for any problems or assigned work
Coordinate with other departments and team members for preventive maintenance work and repairs
Record and fill out work orders in accordance to companys policy
Perform basic electrical work
Perform preventive maintenance program
Perform basic plumbing work
Perform ground maintenance
Painting interior and exterior
Perform general maintenance in guestrooms, back-of-house areas and public areas
Assist other contractors and technicians when on-site
Maintain cleanliness of work area
Respond and prioritize calls to guestroom, public areas or back-of-house areas to assess and repair item(s)
Conduct inventories in accordance to company policy
Custodial work may be assigned
Maintain the proper use, cleaning and storage of all tools
Address other duties as assigned by front desk and management
Requirements:
Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
Hotel: 1 year (Preferred but not necessary)
Ability to work outdoors and climb stairs
Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, etc.
Must be flexible working mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift heavy items and in fast paced environment
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent oral and written communication and documentation is needed
Attention to detail and strong customer service skills is crucial
