We’re looking for an SEO Analyst who can work cross-functionally with multiple Velir teams and who can think strategically on behalf of our clients by constantly considering their organizational goals. The SEO Analyst should draw from their experiential knowledge of search to provide contextual recommendations for improving website compliance and optimization. This position will work closely with Developers using JIRA and will execute on their recommendations. The ideal candidate will possess quantitative skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets from keyword lists and analytics platforms. This is a newer service at Velir and the SEO Analyst will help create new deliverables that deliver sustained value to clients. A penchant for innovation and entrepreneurship is welcomed.
Keyword Strategy
Develop a keyword strategy for clients, making sure their website content matches what they want to rank for, and providing analysis and recommendations on future enhancements
Content Strategy
Leverage analytics tools to help develop content ideas for clients so they can become more authoritative for specific priority topics on their websites
SEO Assessment
Perform an SEO audit of a website, looking at relevant areas such as content, technical compliance, off-site and competitors
Reporting
Develop reporting that outlines performance of organic search, including showcasing its importance amongst a client’s entire digital marketing ecosystem
Fault Finding
Find areas of a website that are currently weak in search and provide remediations
Optimization Follow-Through
Input recommendations into JIRA through tickets and act as support through the solution, while leveraging best practices and working within technology requirements
SEO Strategy
Help guide search strategies for our clients, using both organizational and website goals to further their visibility in major search engines
4 year college degree
2+ years experience in a related role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to identify crucial SEO site elements using both paid and free tools, such as Moz and Screaming Frog
Strong quantitative skills and the ability to identify themes through large data sets
Familiarity with different technologies such as web crawlers, analytics platforms, CMS, and marketing software
Entrepreneurial and able to work within a small team, outlining assumptions and taking charge
Prior agency or consulting experience is a nice to have
Experience with Healthcare, Non-Profits, Higher Education, and professional organizations a plus
PowerPoint design and presentation skills are a plus
SEM/PPC experience nice to have, but not required
