I own a small handmade jewelry business that continues to grow with each year! The bulk of my sales are done at various art markets and I'm looking for someone to work my booth at those markets so that I can focus on producing inventory. I am currently enrolled in 3 weekly markets in Downtown Boston:
-SoWa (in the South End on Sundays)
-New England Open Markets (at The Greenway on Saturdays)
-Downtown Boston Arts Market (at Downtown Crossing on Wed.-Fri.)
I am usually scheduled for 3-4 of these markets every week. These markets generally garner decent foot traffic, so there is good potential for great sales and commission!
This job requires that you live near Boston and have a reliable vehicle that can fit all of the booth set-up inside of it. For a frame of reference, I own a Toyota Corolla and it's able to fit my whole set-up with the back seats folded down!
I'm looking for a hip, fun, funky, hard-working person who is passionate about art and handmade goods.
The right candidate will:
-Have a very warm and bright personality
-Be willing to always engage with and help customers
-Be sales oriented (as you will be working on commission)
-Be able to lift 40 lbs.
-Be able to work 8-9 hour shifts (including set-up and breakdown)
