- Experienced and Customer focused Technology leader with strong technical architecture design, solution development, deployment Capabilties and specifically experience in Secure Architecture and infrastructure design and development in fully AWS-native on AWS GovCloud for Virtusa’s Hitech Business Unit.
- Technical leadership for one or more portfolios / Accounts within the Hi-tech BU.
- Ownership for end to end Technology function including, architecture, standards, tooling, design, development, testing, data migration and deployment.
- Engage and drive technical solutions across multiple stakeholder groups in areas related to client business, business process, technology, User Experience, Development, QA, DevOps and Infrastructure.
- Provide thought leadership as a trusted Software Engineering technology partner.
- Ensure proposed technical solutions meet business goals and objectives including both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Define and direct the delivery of technical architecture and design of complex business software solutions.
- Effort estimation and structured delivery plan for projects and proposals
- Ensure high-quality delivery in architecture, design, code reviews, tools and standards
- Some hands-on design and development may be required
- Define, build, implement and manage internal Architecture Review Board focused on sustained adherence to best practices, standards and procedures, tools and technologies for the design, implementation and support of high quality technology solutions that meet or exceed client expectations and expected business outcomes
- Ability to sustain and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic software engineering consulting environment
- Act as Sr. point of contact for escalations of technical delivery issues
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- 12+ years of complete SDLC experience with minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as an enterprise / solution architect or similar position
- Extensive experience and knowledge in system migration, design and development for fully AWS-native on AWS GovCloud with isolated network, secured Fedramp complianced technologies and infrastructure
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transforming complex strategic business requirements/plans into workable technology solutions
- Very good understanding in design principles, web standards and concepts, coding best practices and end-to-end software development life cycle
- Must possess excellent technical and team leadership skills
- Experience across an array of technology platforms like J2EE,.Net, Digital platform solutions and Modern Application Development
- Extensive experience and knowledge in cloud services which spans across Operational, Security, Reliability, Scalability and Performance.
- Familiarity with server architectures and extensive experience in architecting / designing Cloud, Microservices, and/or distributed systems
- Sound knowledge in different deployment architectures, release engineering and DevOps
- Creative, Innovative, thought leader who can create a culture of learning, sharing among millennials
- Experience in following agile methodology and/or working in scrum teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with clearly communicate designs, thoughts, and ideas and ability to adjust the communications based on the audience
- Working with Geographically distributed teams and experience in onsite-offshore team models
