We are a well established machine shop located in Rockland, looking for an individual to deburr and finish parts by hand.
We manufacture product from a variety of metals and plastics.
This individual would deburr, buff, polish and/or clean each part at planned stages of the production process.
Some of the tools that may be used include; grinding/buffing wheels, lathes, drill presses, sandpaper, files, and other hand-held deburring tools.
Prior experience is preferred, but not required.
An ideal candidate would:
Pay close attention to detail.
Be able to follow written or verbal instructions.
Work well with their hands.
Have some manufacturing experience.
Job Requirements:
Standing for up to three hours at a time.
Working on and around machinery.
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Lift up to 30 pounds (most parts are under a pound however).
Visually inspect work to ensure parts are complete and conforming.
At this time, we are looking for a part-time employee (under 30 hours per week). However, there is potential for advancement and full-time opportunities in the future for the right individual.
